The Outback 5 H2O is built to make serious adventure touring accessible, carrying on a design ridden around the world since its first generation. It keeps the proven three-layer construction with detachable thermal and hydratex waterproof liners, now adding upgraded chest ventilation. Fit adjustment is thorough, from an integrated waist-belt adjuster to arm tabs and hem drawcords, and protection is strong with CE-level 2 SEEFLEX armor standard and options for level 2 back and level 1 divided chest protectors, at a Class AA rating. Storage is generous, with large waterproof front pockets and multiple inner pockets. The trade-off is the bulk and layer-juggling common to full touring systems.
