Description

The TCX Explorer 4 GTX is the waterproof touring boot in TCX's Explorer line, built on a Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane that keeps water out while still letting the boot breathe. The upper skips leather in favour of microfiber and high-tenacity polyamide fabric, with abrasion-resistant panels and reflective inserts at the heel for visibility. Protection covers the usual injury points: reinforced shin, heel, and malleolus (ankle), plus a TPU guard over the shift area. Inside there's an OrthoLite footbed for cushioning, and the sole uses a hard-wearing compound with dedicated grip zones for footpeg feel and traction once you're off the bike. Riders who took them through heavy rain reported staying dry, which is really the whole point of a boot like this.
